Overview
The Company… They are a small Web company based in Guiseley, West Yorkshire. They have real passion and desire to grow the company to take them to the next step in the digital world. They have a sister company with whom they share their expertise to help develop and round both companies collectively. The team is compiled of 9 permanent members; you, being the 10th. Moreover, the development team makes up 50% of this cohort. Web design isn’t their only avenue, they explore the world of complex web programming using PHP in the process. They are solely responsible, for both design and programming, for a number of clients’ websites using Linux, more specifically they offer bespoke services to said clients. The Role… To be candid, you will be thrown in to share the workload from day dot. Getting involved in a variety of projects is the reward for the ability to learn their major systems; preferably the vast majority. Due to the nature of this role, fee-earning from the get-go would be anticipated however, they are understanding that learning their systems would be one’s primary objective. You would be expected to become the number one guy on your own customer projects, have the initiative to go and talk to the clients and elicit requirements, report progress and offer optimum client satisfaction. Due to privacy with of their clients, you would be required to enter an NDA (non-disclosure agreement). In addition to this identity and criminal checks would be requested. What you need… You must possess a high quality of proficiency in both PHP and MYSQL. Any of the following would boost your application further; Laravel Svelte and/or VueJS PHP – Procedural and OO MySQL Rest APIs PSR-12 standards JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap Experience with GIT, Vagrant, PHPunit and Selenium (or similar tools) Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWS Definite exposure to the above would be apparent, so if these are skills you posses but would like to develop then this would be an opportunity to do that. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining online applications for our clients. You may be required to work with clients to determine the best solution, taking time and budgets into consideration. Your work will be neat and well documented, whilst being efficient and accurate.
