Overview

The Role: Electronic diagnostics and repairs Key accountabilities of the role: - Be responsible for the test, repair to component level and reassembling of consumer and/or IT related product types - Update the BOSS or SMS repair tracking systems and manufacturer sites with information on repairs as required - Be aware of and adhere to all health and safety procedures and highlight any issues - Be able to meet current key performance i ndicators and to produce quality results within agreed time scales - Have an understanding of the importance of data protection and data cleansing procedures Person Specification: - Minimum two years' of engineering experience - Knowledge of testing and repairing brown goods (TVs, Computing, Game consoles, Mobile Phones, Audio products) - The ability to use and maintain tools - Good communication skills, both written and verbal - To be thorough and pay attention to detail - Ability to work deadlines and within defined standards - Flexible and willingness to undertake different tasks - S elf-drive and a desire to bring tasks to completion - Computer literate with broad knowledge of MS Office suite and be able to provide feedback/reports both electronically and by paper - High level of housekeeping - Strong Health and Safety principles knowledge - Good time keeping and attendance - Be capable of acting on instructions from Senior Engineer/Team Manager Hours of work: - 7am – 3pm - 37.5hrs per week - Occasionally Saturdays or longer hours paid as overtime This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89778753
