As part of our development in the Aerospace & Defence sector , we are currently looking for a new team member to join the Software Development team to support our customers with their challenging technology development projects. Position Are you a Software Developer looking for a dynamic company to develop your career with? Working as part of ALTEN’s Aerospace & Defence team, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the development of software to support our customers who are working on state of the art technology across a range of applications. Your main responsibilities will be to: · Develop user stories and use cases to guide the software development · Develop algorithms for signal processing, data analysis and visualisation · Create, modify and review source code · Generate software builds · Support software testing teams to address problems The ideal candidate must show High level of commitment towards ALTEN and our customers’ stakes Solutions oriented mind-set Delivery focus Result driven and fact-based approach Strong abilities to work under pressure Autonomous technical project management abilities Abilities to work and progress in a cross-functional environment Ideal Skills & Pre-requisites For this role you will ideally have first-hand experience with: C#, C++, Python, Java, ADA or other object oriented programming languages Working in Agile development environments Qualifications required Qualified with at least a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or demonstrable experience within the domain.This role may require to work in the Defence sector and the applicant may need to demonstrate an ability to hold a UK Security Clearance (SC).
