High Tech Telecoms Organisation Fast Paced and Progressive Business Opportunity to add value through effective FP&A and Stakeholder engagement Otto James Consulting is exclusively supporting one of the UK's fastest growing technology organisations in the search for a Commercial Financial Controller. This is a truly commercial role which will be focusing on the businesses goals of organisational growth and infrastructure optimisation. The Role As Commercial Financial Controller you will be in a pivotal role supporting key business stakeholders in the delivery of a robust 2, 3 & 5 year plan to achieve the organisations turn over goals. My client is at the point of critical mass where they require a finance professional who can help steer the direction of finance, while also taking hands on involvement in the day to day commercial business engagement. You will be supported by a strong management team and a Head of Finance who is a national ACA prize winner who specialised in M&A within the technology sector before being head hunted to take on a senior role within the organisation. You will be in a pivotal role within the business, engaged with both the Commercial and Transactional sides of finance, providing a conduit to the senior management and helping drive organisational efficiencies. Creation of robust and effective internal controls, with a clear vision of how this will form the bedrock of the organisations growth and is imperative to the success of this position. The growth plans are such that my client is looking for a qualified accountant who has the dynamism and know-how to help achieve their current goals, while planning for the future. Lead role in the preparation of financial statements for various businesses entities in the UK and Europe Support Sales and Operations in FP&A activities Responsible quarterly financial planning and analysis for overhead costs in Media entities Responsible for weekly, monthly & yearly cash forecasts with reconciliations Assist in the preparation and submission of quarterly and yearly reporting Assist with monthly balance sheet reconciliations - Managing team of 2 Management Accountants Responsible for period-end accounting of various companies Ad-hoc project work as required within current and future tech businesses. Point of contact for the offshore shared services team Your Profile Applicants must be qualified ACA, CIMA or ACCA and be able to demonstrate how they have provided commercial and strategic support to an organization. This is a challenging role that would best suit a talented qualified accountant who has the ability to communicate at a high level, build relationships, develop processes, and understand the necessity of Finance in an internal stake-holding facing position. Although you will be reporting to an ACA prize winner, and therefore applications from first time practice mover's are encouraged, my client is looking to see profiles of Commercially Minded qualified accountants, who understand that finance is underpinned by solid, reliable and correct reporting.
