Buyer

We are looking for a results driven buyer to work within the Procurement team, your role will interface closely with Suppliers and End Users within a multi-site group. You will be responsible to look after all aspects of administration from procurement to pay. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person as there is the scope to develop processes to assist with automation, supplier relationship management, cost savings, working capital improvements with full training and support. Looking after both Sheffield and Darley Dale sites. Benefits as a buyer Basic Salary ranging from £22,000- £28,000 dependant on experience 33 days holiday PA Pension 6% rising up to 11% over time. Funded & supported training is an option for the right candidate. The role: Processing of approved requisitions to purchase orders. Ensuring purchase orders to reflect delivery times. Creation of part numbers & Inventory management for Stores across all three sites. Obtaining quotations for goods & services. Updating & maintaining supplier contracts within the management system. Delivery of spend reduction, cost avoidance and working capital savings. Implementation of Service Level Agreements Liaise closely with Suppliers, Maintenance, Finance and Operations. Invoice resolution in the event of disputes and discrepancies. The use of information reporting tools to manipulate and present data relating to key performance metrics. About you: MCIPS – Qualified or working towards. Experienced in the use of ERP systems. Knowledge of MRO storeroom management & basic MRP controls. Experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Able to work to tight deadlines maintaining attention to detail. Computer literate. Advanced MS Excel. Ability to prioritise workload and focus on key issues. Strong negotiator. Personal Qualities: Assertive approach, able to communicate at all levels and in varying situations.
