Overview

Rullion have an exciting opportunity for an Industrial Engineer, to work with a leading Rolling Stock client based out of their newly built Technology Centre in Widnes, Cheshire.Reporting to the Head of Industrial you will be responsible for the planning design, set up, modification, optimisation and monitoring of manufacturing processes for the repair and overhaul of rolling stock and traction equipment. Main duties and responsibilities will include; Design and work to new systems and processes for the introduction of new products or for the improvement of existing ones Project manage the implementation of new products or processes ensuring process compliance to engineering/customer specification Participate in Lean initiatives Support day-to-day production activities Examine and tender for new equipment to ensure correct specification to meeting production and process requirements at the best price Keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry, at a national and international level.Candidate requirements: Education: Degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing Experience: proven experience within manufacturing environment preferably electrical assembly including knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, ideally assembly Experience of project management Knowledge and experience of the use of Lean tools PC proficient and familiarity; including Microsoft Office, CAD software and ERP routing creation and maintenance Good verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Strong analytical skills Creative Thinker Ability to operate on your own initiative but also willingness to contribute as a team member with other business functions such as engineering, projects, finance, supply chain and EHS Competencies: ethics, values, integrity, trust, client / customer focus, commitment to continuous improvement, dealing with ambiguity, drive for results.Please note that the client operates to strict drugs and alcohol policies, due to the safety critical nature of their business.Rullion celebrates and supports diversity and is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for both employees and applicants.
