Overview
Our client is a small engineering company based in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. They buy, sell & refurbish pre-owned engineering machines nationally across the UK and overseas. Predominately dealing with grinders, milling machines and lathes. Due to the growth in the company's service work, they require a new Machine Tool/Maintenance Engineer to join their team. You will be an important part of the company's maintenance team. You will be responsible for going out across Yorkshire & Lincolnshire repairing & servicing machines as well as being called out on emergency breakdowns. It's important that you can work independently as well as part of a team. You will be required to work off site as well as in the fully equipped workshop in Gainsborough. Machines worked on include Churchill Grinders, Dean Smith & Grace Lathes as well Milling machines, including manual and CNC. Key Qualities: An Engineering background is essential Experience in a similar role is desirable Knowledge of engineering machines, both manual & CNC, such as grinders, milling machines and lathes & how they work A working knowledge of Hydraulics and Electrics is desirable Excellent attention to detail A driving licence is essential due to travel A forklift licence is desirable Passport to Safety certificate is desirable Works Location : Gainsborough, Lincolnshire however a large amount of the work will be carried out off site at customer sites across Yorkshire & Lincolnshire Hours: 8am - 5pm - 5 days per week Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 Per Annum commensurate with experience plus car allowance If you feel you are a suitable candidate and would like to work for this reputable company, then please do not hesitate in applying.
