Food Quality Administrator (Customer Support) - Southall / Hayes Salary up to £28,000 pa Benefits The Company Part of a major European group, this business is a leading food supplier and manufacturer, producing foods for a range of customers including Grocery Retail, Wholesale and Further Manufacturing. The Role Monday to Friday 08:30am-5:00pm This is an Office based role that will involve working within a Technical Team within a Head Office function. Duties include managing the customer databases and keeping up-to-date with current legislation around Allergens, Labelling and Food Safety regulations. The Quality Administrator will assist Customers, acting as the technical interface between internal technical teams and the external customer, with responsibility for dealing effectively with customer complaints and product quality issues. This will involve dealing with customer product issues that come in via email, letter, or phone, and recording details of the issue on a Customer Database (SAP). Day-to-day duties will also include dealing with suppliers to gain product and raw material information. The Quality Administrator appointed will need to have good organisation and communication skills as they will manage customer queries in a timely fashion and liaise with external customers such as Foodservice operators, Food Manufacturers, Caterers etc. There will also be a requirement to manage requests regarding customer specific Specifications including contact with the major UK Grocery multiples. Organising Quality & Compliance documents and File Management is an important part of this role and the Quality Administrator will input data onto customer bespoke systems for Specifications and Allergens and ensure all documentation is kept up-to-date. The ability to communicate effectively is also required as the Quality Administrator will write reports and provide customers to a written response to queries or complaints. The Person This role offers a springboard for someone to develop a career within the Food sector. Experience gained from within the Technical function or Customer Service of a Food & Drink Supplier is expected. This role may also suit a Graduate with a Food related Degree combined with 12 months Food industry experience. Understanding of Retailer technical specification systems would benefit an application. Considerable organisational skills and attention to detail is also expected as the jobholder will be dealing with large volumes of Quality and Technical data.
