Job title: Sole Hotel Chef Salary: Up to £26,000 Location: Hay on Wye, Herefordshire Type of contract: Permanent Workplace description: This beautiful hotel based near Hay on Wye and Brecon, offering first class accommodation is set in over 130 acres of our own Welsh countryside overlooking the River Wye and the Brecon Beacons National Park. The hotel has a restaurant, heated indoor swimming pool and sauna to relax in at the end of the day, and licensed bars to cater for your schedule. Main duties and responsibilities: This position would suit a hands-on chef who is able to adapt to their role and work alone, however during the busy months and large functions you will have additional chefs to help. Your responsibilities will include all the prep work, cooking, ordering, menu planning and the updating the specials board while ensuring all legislation is adhered to in relation to Health & Safety along with Hygiene. The food will be a mixture of pre-made & fresh. Essential criteria: Experience managing your own kitchen.
