Overview
Work as Clinical Nurse Manager within a small learning disability service in South Yorkshire, easily accessible from Rotherham and Sheffield. The 6 bed service is a vibrant and homely bungalow which provides care and nursing for adults with complex learning disabilities and autism. The service is rated as Good in all areas with the CQC. We are looking to recruit a passionate and motivated RNLD, RGN or RMN Registered Nurse to join the team and work as Clinical Nurse Manager. This is a full time role working 36 hours a week, 2x 12 hour shifts leading on the floor from 8am - 8pm, and 12 hours of supernumery which can be done over a long day from 8-8 or split into 2 shorter shifts. As Clinical Nurse Manager, you will play a key part in the daily running of the Specialist Care Centre, working closely with the Registered Manager, ensuring that everything runs effectively and efficiently and that the care provided is of the highest quality. There will, of course, be times when you have to roll up your sleeves and deliver hands-on nursing and personal care but that's the nature of the job, and it keeps your skills up to date. About the job The role would also be a good progression for a nurse wanting to move into a managerial role, as training will be given. You will also have the opportunity to join the local LD networks and work alongside professionals and the LD multidisciplinary team. You will also be working closely with the university and have student nurses on placement. Your role will be to support the Registered Manager in the day to day activities in the Specialist Care Centre, so this means that you will be involved in: Managing the clinical and care teams Carrying out pre-admission assessments Conducting supervisions and appraisals Auditing, reviewing and updating care plans and medication records Managing staffing levels, compiling rotas etc. Assisting with staff training and development To apply for this role, you will be an RGN, RMN or RNLD with experience working with learning disability clients. You will be well organised, able to make decisions and work on your own initiative whilst working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team. You will be up-to-date with current evidence-based practice and have a working knowledge of CQC standards and regulations. You will be given a full induction over 3 days before starting working within the service. The role is to work 36 hours a week and the salary is £33,400. There are excellent training and progression opportunities within the group. For further details, please Apply or contact Gemma at Leaders in Care.
