Ramp and Baggage Agent Salary: circa £21,400 per annum Location: London Heathrow Airport Hours: 18.75 hours per week, on a rotating shift pattern Cobalt is a successful ground handling Services Company based at London Heathrow Airport and operating on behalf of many different airlines. As part of their continued development, they are recruiting professional and enthusiastic individuals to join their busy and dynamic Ramp and Baggage teams. Duties of the Ramp and Baggage Agent: Duties include the transportation of baggage and cargo between terminal buildings and aircraft, loading and unloading aircraft within specified turnaround times, the sortation of baggage, scanning tags for flights, loading containers and trailers, and delivery/collection of mail and freight from various airside locations. All duties will include the use of large goods vehicles or specialist ground handling equipment. An awareness of health and safety and safe working practices is important, although full training is provided. Requirements for the Ramp and Baggage Agent: Successful applicants will be required to provide checkable and reliable references (education and/or employment) for the last 5 years, and will be required to provide references to cover any gaps in employment. Candidates must have a full UK manual driving licence (max 3 penalty points), have the right to work in the UK, and will be required to complete a basic criminal record check (both UK and overseas). All positions work a rotating shift pattern across a 7-day working week, with a mix of early and late shifts, so flexibility is essential.
