PCS7 Engineer Stone Rate - To be discussed when application sent Available on both Contract and Permanent Opportunity Introduction The PCS7 Engineer will be responsible for the upgrade of a PCS7 DCS with related design and implementation including improvements and modifications. The PCS7 Engineer should have proven main-stream control automation experience across several Siemens based projects that must include medium to large size DCS using recent PCS7 versions. Essential skills of the PCS7 Engineer are hands-on implementation/test of PCS7 v9.0 AS/O using APL, CMT, CFC and SFC. Key responsibilities will include: PCS7 DCS Upgrade to PCS7 v9.0 based on a virtualised OS PCS7 DCS enhancements and process control modifications Whole software/systems lifecycle involvement; design, coding, testing, install and commissioning Working within project team to customer deadlines Installation and configuration/testing work at UK customer sites Essential Requirements Minimum 5 years experience using PCS7 v8.0 or greater within medium / large DCS Experience of AS/OS system design, coding, testing and commissioning Experience of producing FDS, DDS and Test Specifications Use of PCS7 AS/OS using APL, CMT, CFC and SFC Use of PCS7 using S7-400/300 and Profibus technologies Use of PCS7 interfacing to intelligent Siemens drives and packages Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures Willingness to travel and work away when required Driving licence Astute Technical Recruitment Limited are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
