Overview
There is now a vacancy for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer / Trainee Toolmaker to join a successful manufacturing firm in East Grinstead, West Sussex. Salary package for the Graduate Mechanical Engineer / Trainee Toolmaker is negotiable, in the region of £25,000 - £30,000 company benefits. Please note: the company would look at both graduate level or more experienced candidates. Alternatively the Graduate Mechanical Engineer / Trainee Toolmaker might have a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent, and be keen to find a role within engineering. Essential: you MUST have some practical skills in toolmaking gained within a commercial environment, e.g. turning, milling, etc. Graduate Mechanical Engineer / Trainee Toolmaker - Overview of the Role and Requirements: Producing new tools Involvement in product trials. Able to read and interpret technical drawings, including a clear understanding of engineering tolerances. Able to measure components accurately using vernier, calliper etc. Any CAD skills an advantage Able to manage multiple workloads against deadlines Skilled in workshop techniques - milling, turning (also welding if possible)
