QA Tester

QA Tester - Dublin - Contract - Financial Services QA Tester Dublin 6 Months Rolling Contract Financial Services The candidate will join Finance Technology team in Dublin. QA Experience with expertise in different technologies, business areas, application wide analysis, and proposal of solutions. Supporting high level implementation plans, data and process models, test strategies, test implementation and change management review. Testing skills required over Database, UI, and Axiom technologies. Responsibilities: Responsible for testing and delivering software to accomplish business outcomes. Key responsibilities of the role include ensuring that software is tested to meet all functional and non-functional requirements. Responsible for working with the business partner teams on the delivery of the Capital and other Regulatory Reporting projects, primarily associated with COREP, Statistical, Finrep and Anacredit. Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements. Contributes to test planning, and when part of a Scrum team, builds test cases for stories in the given sprint, per story acceptance criteria. Participates in test case reviews and makes necessary updates. Builds and uses test data required to accomplish execution of test cases. Executes test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results. Reports issues and defects along with appropriate background information for review. Collaborates with developers on reproducing, detailing, and documenting reported defects. Uses testing tools and follows processes required to complete testing work. Traces tests to requirements for the given scope. This role will require liaison across various areas of the bank (Finance, Middle Office, Operations and Treasury etc.) Support business partners during User Acceptance Testing phases Partnering with Project / QA manager to ensure that governance policy is adhered to across the portfolio in accordance with stated test standards and processes Ensure ongoing communication of project governance to all stakeholders Requirements Essential Role Competencies At least 8 years' experience in the field of Information Technology with emphasis on Software Testing, Quality Assurance of Web/Windows based applications using Manual and Automated Testing techniques. Strong UI, DB and Business Process Management testing. Extensive experience of mandatory regulatory implementations within a Tier 1 Investment Bank High level understanding of financial products and key asset classes such as Debt, Equity, Commodity etc. Strong Data Analysis capabilities, with experience in reviewing BRDs and Technical Specifications. Ability to analyse large volumes of data via strong MS Excel proficiency (pivots, data comparison etc.) with SQL desirable Experience in Data Validation through backend testing Experience in creating test scenarios and functional testing Defect management experience using JIRA Strong verbal communication skills; applicable for managing up and down the technology chain, as well as working with business partners from multiple disciplines with differing priorities across multiple, global locations Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and concisely In depth knowledge delivering within both a Waterfall and Agile development environment Essential Personal Competencies Ability to positively drive work forward, collaborate with team members, and act with transparency Extensive experience in a service oriented organization to meet the requirements of multiple stakeholders Proven ability to operate within the global environment operating from multiple locations and time zones Proven experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies related to large, complex programmes Desirable Experience of Finance sub-ledger, general ledger and data warehouse reporting systems Good working knowledge of AXIOM platform (both from an end user perspective as well as from a solution development perspective)
