The Coal Authority has an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join the team based in Mansfield on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £31,044 - £43,220 per annum . The HR Business Partner role: Looking for a high motivated HR professional with L&D experience who can hit the ground running and is delivery focused. With proven experience in business partnering, the role will require line management and a hands on involvement in HR and L&D agenda at both an operational and strategic level. As a self-starter, you will be responsible for business partnering across the business. Responsibilities of our HR Business Partner: - Upskill managers in their knowledge of people management to deliver successful business outcomes through people. - Work collaboratively with managers on their integrated planning process and forecasting headcount needs in outer years to include succession and use of apprenticeships. - Recruit excellent candidates that will fulfil current and future succession requirements to maintain expertise and to make the authority more inclusive by increasing diversity at all levels. - Effectively manage casework in a consistent and timely manner to minimise risk for the business. Act as an investigator for formal proceedings and sit on hearing panels as needed. Act as HR lead in any departmental restructures, providing early advice on complex issues, e.g, TUPE. - Own the People Plan and values to drive through culture change in all the activities you undertake to help embed positive new ways of working. Help others to understand the people plan and encourage them to participate in the changes and have a voice. - Conduct monthly Link Meetings with managers to proactively keep abreast of all HR matters, workforce changes and forecasting within departments to inform colleagues in HR and Finance teams. - Assist managers in the use of the HR Information System (iTrent) to ensure they realise the full benefits of the system in the effective management of people. - Provide strategic advice and guidance on succession planning and knowledge transfer plans to build resilience in teams and aid retention. Keep the Learning and Development Team informed on these matters. - Update HR Policies and procedures as required by the Executive Leadership Team and in line with legislative changes. - Keep TOPdesk up to date to ensure visibility of workload pressures and to highlight resource issues. What we’re looking for in our HR Business Partner: - Educated to A Level standard - CIPD qualification (Associate/MCIPD status) - Demonstrable generalist HR experience and advising management teams - Knowledge of employment law and best practice - Knowledge of learning and development practices - Successful track record of delivering strategic change projects - Experience of HR information systems - Well-developed business partnering skills - Interviewing and coaching skills - Ability to use Microsoft office products - Good organisational and administrative skills If you believe you are the right candidate for the role as our HR Business Partner then please click ‘apply’ now We’d love to hear from you
