Overview

Cost Accountant South Sheffield (near Jordanthorpe) Up to £30,000 My Client is a market leader in their field, and they are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to work alongside the Head of Finance (direct report). This role will see you providing support to the Finance Team and the overall business strategy by overseeing cost expenditure analysis, product costing exercises and other costing projects within the entire organisation, together with the development and maintenance of a Cost Accounting system Duties will also see you supporting the Head of Finance with annual budgets, month and year end accounts and also delivering accurate product costings. You will also take a lead in the review of existing costings, record wastage and stock monitoring from source to finished goods. It is essential that you have Payroll experience as your role will also include this, along with general adhoc administration and taking the lead in annual stocktake. To be suitable for this role, you will; Have costing experience Have strong analytical and continuous mind-set Be computer literate with advanced Excel skills Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills Have accounts office experience Have confident and articulate telephone manner Possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships Be able to work unsupervised and in a safe manner.
