Overview

Juice Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly reputable Bristol based financial services organisation with their search for an Operations Manager. This is a key hire for the business, and the successful Operations Manager will have primary responsibility for the provision of administration services as well as contributing to the business strategy and delivery of SLAs. You will ensure agreed contractual obligations are met for clients and ensure all compliance and quality standards are implemented and maintained. Key duties as Operations Manager will include: • Providing strategic input into the organisation’s development plans to drive performance and profitability • Reviewing processes to ensure they comply with industry guidelines • Overall responsibility for monitoring the quality of the admin staff work, problem solving and taking action where appropriate • Managing multiple projects at any one time in accordance with the project management standards • Evaluating and prioritising project risks and recommending response options for reducing risk • Ensuring the provision of a prompt, high-quality service to clients • Keeping up to date with relevant legislation/regulatory requirements • Implementing and actioning internal and external control mechanisms to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies • Providing management information of all activity to allow management to govern, monitor and take any necessary remedial action • Conducting performance management and appraisal processes for direct reports, identifying training needs to develop the team • Communicating clearly and professionally at all levels, both internally and externally • Managing resource levels, workloads and productivity to ensure targets are met • Challenging existing practices and processes and suggesting improvements to ensure customer service is effective and efficient • Travelling to other offices to meet business needs As Operations Manager you will have a demonstrable professional operations experience, with evidence of progressive responsibilities and experience of managing underwriting or claims. Working knowledge and application of IRESS Adviser Office is also required, As the successful Operations Manager you will have the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders and effectively engage with clients, management, and business functions to build constructive business relationships. You will have the ability to demonstrate strong skills in strategic planning, strategic management, budget compilation and delivery within costs and on time. Ideally you will be accredited in Project Management Methodologies to the appropriate level (ie. PRINCE, ITIL, OGC MSP), together with experience of the full project life cycle from initiation through to project closure on at least 5 projects for a range of clients. You will be a strong communicator with the ability to motivate a team and promote excellent internal relationships. You will be astute and business focused with a clear understanding of the commercial impact of actions and decisions.
