POSITION: Customer Service Representative SALARY: National Minimum Wage BENEFITS: 20 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays, Pension Scheme, Modern Offices, Free Onsite Parking and Employee Discounts HOURS: Full-time -Monday to Friday from 9am to 5.30pm LOCATION: Blackburn, BB1 5QR DESCRIPTION: Our client is an established ecommerce company based in Blackburn offering an innovative range of smart security cameras, alarm systems and smart home accessories. Due to continued success the company is seeking to recruit a Customer Service Representative . The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for customers and as such will provide an outstanding experience for every customer. You will be required to take ownership of every customer contact and be expected to deliver on each and every promise dealing with customer queries. The company’s customers thrive on the personal, honest service they receive from the customer services team. JOB ROLE: The role will involve: Effective, professional handling of inbound customer queries via email, telephone, helpdesk or chat with utmost urgency and professionalism. Assisting customers with sales enquiries, order placement, site navigation and purchasing decisions through telephone, email or chat. Developing friendly relationships with customers on all online sales channels. Encouraging satisfied customers to leave a positive review of their experience. Displaying an understanding of the range of products and services, and demonstrating product knowledge to customers. Entering orders and processing returns. Escalating any serious customer complaints and unresolved issues to the line manager. Updating customers on the progress of any outstanding issues in a professional and timely manner. Reporting any identified product issues to the product management team. Assist with a range of other administrative tasks and projects within the company as required. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Skills and qualifications required: Previous experience in handling customer queries by telephone is essential. Good listening skills demonstrating a caring attitude. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Ability to adapt, use one’s initiative and remain calm under stressful conditions. A willingness and ability to learn. Attention to detail. Ability to work on their own initiative but also a team player. Reliable, punctual and responsible with a ‘can do’ attitude. Minimum A-C GCSE Grades in Maths & English. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word & Outlook. Live within a commutable distance and have the right to work in the UK.
