Software Security Engineer - Python or Java & App Security Key Skills: • Application Security - 50% • Java or Python hands on development - 30% • AWS / DevOps - 20% Overview: An excellent opportunity to work for a market leading energy company on an exciting Greenfield system on a permanent basis Role & Responsibilities: You will be building tools and fostering the security culture to help assist product teams rapidly deliver secure systems whilst also providing those teams with clear actionable advice on what risks and threats they have to their systems. Essential Skills & Experience: • Knowledge and experience in secure software practices • Scripting and software engineering skills; (Python, Scala, Clojure, Java) • Awareness of common software security flaws and web application security best practices (OWASP top 10, CWE/SANS Top 25) • Code static analysis • AWS/GCP security best practices • Container vulnerability scanning • Open Source dependency scanning • Web application firewalls • Logging, monitoring and alerting on security incidents • Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps principles Details: • Basic salary £70-90k depending on experience • Flexible working hours • Remote working • 25 days holiday plus birthday • Excellent bonus scheme Software Security Engineer - Python or Java & App Security
