Overview

Our client is based on the outskirts of Didcot, is recruiting for a Business and Research Analyst to join their team. This role is to work with the Futures and Sustainability Manager on the market and customer research, specifically in designing and performing and designing the data analyses to provide the market, category and customer analysis it needs to support its member businesses and internal decision making. Role Responsibilities: To perform numerical and quantitative analyses and data mining on data sets to provide market, customer and category insights to members, stakeholders and internal colleagues To work with the Manager and colleagues to design, specify and implement data collection/interrogation methods, reporting systems, and data structures which anticipate and enable the business' data and information requirements To use (and support colleagues in using) data analysis and data mining packages such as Tableau as well as to interrogate and report the data, and to work with colleagues to increase access to and use of market, category and customer data to support the association's goals To cross-reference, triangulate and check analyses with other third-party data sources to ensure the accuracy and validity of analyses produced from data sets, performing data cleansing and admin tasks where necessary To work with suppliers and colleagues to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the data sets Regularly recording member contact ensuring that the interaction and outcomes are input to the membership database (CRM) to maintain records and reference member data Essential Skills and Qualifications: Degree level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline such as maths, statistics, information science, market or social research or a discipline involving numerical or statistical analysis of complex data sets Demonstrable experience in working with data analysis packages such as Tableau, SPSS or similar in a commercial setting Experience of designing data collection and data structures to enable reporting and analysis Ability to communicate complex data and methodologies clearly to non-specialist colleagues and customers and to support non-specialists in accessing and using of data and queries and analyses The ability to work and communicate as part of a wider team made up of staff with varying areasof expertise Ability to handle detail accurately and where required to perform data cleansing work to maintain the integrity of data sets Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience required: Familiarity of digital analytics packages such as Google Analytics or Facebook insights Experience of applying multivariate analysis techniques in a commercial context (e.g. in market research, analysis of loyalty programme data, CRM or retail data, etc) Experience of having worked in project environments such as Prince2 This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89870800
