Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer Location; Ely Salary: £40-50k Depending upon experience Project Engineer We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer, preferably with a history of working on multiple, multi-million pound bespoke engineering packages for the oil and gas industry. The Project Engineer will be responsible for the engineering requirements to enable the successful completion of the project. He/she will provide control of and report on, the engineering deliverables on the project and will ensure that the technical content of documentation meets the requirements to allow engineering and manufacturing to be completed to satisfy the client’s expectations. Main duties include: Manage the engineering of the project Ensure all phases of engineering are carried out to meet the project schedule and budget Lead Design Review, Constructability & HAZOP, P&ID, GA, Process, Mechanical, E&I, Controls meetings etc. Manage implications of technical changes and ensure overall design integrity Provide technical support to the Proposals team Provide support to testing and manufacturing inspections Report on key engineering deliverables (forecast man-hours, work pack completion dates, major bought-outs etc.) Ensure that the design meets all customer specifications, industry standards and codes Ensure that technical aspects of documentation meet the project requirements Achieve milestone dates Invoice approval. Candidates applying will be expected to have suitable relevant qualifications, such as Mechanical Engineering degree and demonstrable experience in a project engineering role for similar engineering packages. Strong communication, negotiation, technical and organisational skills will be essential to the Project Engineer’s success.
