As a Senior Health Economist you will be an essential member of this group, working across a range of projects with ownership of the projects, deliverables and timelines. We are seeking a highly ambitious, dedicated and driven professional that is looking for an opportunity to further develop their career within Health Economics who has a particular interest in & current skills and expertise in Health Economic Modelling along with a genuine passion for improving patient access to vital health interventions This role requires a professional with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial environment (either a HEOR / Healthcare consultancy or sponsor company), who is seeking an opportunity within a highly collaborative, fast-paced & multidisciplinary, international organisation. Responsibilities of the Senior Health Economist will include (but dependent on experience, may not be limited to): Development and adaptation of HTA compliant Health Economic Models for various key global markets. Evidence synthesis & review through meta-analysis, systematic literature reviews, and other statistical analyses of various forms of research materials. Identifying and developing methodologies and strategies in partnership with project teams Reviewing project deliverables, including quality control of models, associated protocols and technical reports whilst adhering to project budgets and timelines Managing client interactions and outreach to ensure exceptional client satisfaction through to the final deliverable. Assessing & Responding to RFP's and developing project proposals as directed. Drafting project reports and other deliverables Essential & required skills and experience: MSc degree or PhD in econometrics, economics, health economics, pharmacy, epidemiology, statistics, medical sciences or any other related field of study At least 3 years’ experience in the hands-on design and construction of Health Economic models from within a consultancy, the pharmaceutical industry or a relevant academic environment Designed and built at least 5 cost-effectiveness and/or budget impact models from concept to conclusion Experience of Excel® and Visual Basic® for Applications. Experience of quality control, strategic and technical review / critique of economic models Excellent English oral and written communication skills and comfort liaising with technical and non-technical clients (both internally and externally) Proven ability to explain complex calculations and ideas both verbally and in writing Proven ability to manage projects within timelines, budget and scope Proven ability to resolve issues and challenges Experience developing AMCP dossiers, critically reviewing economic and value assessments by ICER in the US, or HTA reimbursement submissions (such as NICE in England) You will also have a distinct advantage if you have: Experience of programming individual patient simulations or discrete event simulations (preferably in R or VBA) Experience of analysis of clinical trial data for use within health economic models, e.g. survival analysis, quality-of-life analysis, and combinations of randomized controlled trial and non-randomized controlled trial data Published work in peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences Experience line managing and/or providing training to team members You may also apply for this role by contacting Stefan Beck at RBW Consulting.
