Cosmetic Product Developer

The Pertemps Network Group are working in Partnership with our client who are a specialist wholesaler of beautifying products, essential oils and various fragranced products. The Product Developer role involves being in charge of the development of new handmade beautifying products, collaborating with the sales and marketing departments to develop new business opportunities. You will be required to assess new product ideas and product or packaging changes, determine customer's needs and work on customised products according to the customers' requirements. You will be working closely with Company Directors, Production Manager and Account Managers. Key tasks: Develop new product lines Prepare new products costs analysis Work closely with the Head of Marketing and the Managing Director on new product ideas and designs, developing and producing samples Present new product ideas following latest industry trends Gather raw materials necessary to create a new product being developed Carry out research in order to find the best way to produce a particular product Source ingredients, work closely with current and new suppliers, negotiate and obtain costs and quotations from suppliers Work with account managers on customised products and produce samples for customers Review current product lines, improve, redevelop and expand current ranges Oversee the manufacturing process of new products and ensure these are finished to high quality standards Liaise with colleagues to understand business needs Keep up to date with industry trends Experience and skills- 2 years' experience working within a product development role Previous experience working with cosmetic products/fragrances is required Education in Chemistry with a focus on cosmetic products is expected Good problem solving abilities Attention to detail, knowledge of industry guidelines and standards Be able to meet deadlines Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office Please send your CV if you have the correct experience for a confidential conversation
