Excellent opportunity to join a leading FMCG business located near Maidstone who are looking for a new Finance Manager / Controller to lead a small team and report to senior management. Client Details My exclusive client is a progressive FMCG business based near Maidstone in Kent. In the past few years they have received investment and have grown rapidly as a result, so are now an industry leading, global business. Description My client is looking for a talented and motivated Financial Controller to join the Finance team to support the growth plans and help drive the business forward through its next phase of growth. Working directly for the Group Finance Director, the successful candidate will be required to undertake the following, but not exclusive duties: · Manage the finance function of the division · Production of monthly management accounts pack, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met · Production of weekly KPI reports for the senior management team · Development of robust KPIs to help manage the business · Oversee and manage all financial accounting and provide financial support in all areas of the business, seeking continuous improvement of processes · Monthly VAT returns and quarterly corporation tax computations · Daily and weekly cash flow forecasting · Manage credit control, ensuring debt collection targets are met · Creation and implementation of annual budgets, liaising with department managers throughout the year and challenging on budget variances · Monthly forecasting, explaining key reasons for movements against original budget · Manage the annual audit process and ensure integrity of the financial accounts · Project work on process improvement · Manage a team of two (accounts assistant & reporting analyst) Profile The successful candidate for this Finance Manager / Financial Controller role will: · Be a fully Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) · Have previous experience in a similar position · Have excellent system and IT skills and a keen eye for detail · Take a proactive approach to working in a changing environment and developing processes where necessary · Possess excellent communication skills with a track record of working and managing a team · Have excellent Leadership and development skills Job Offer The Financial Controller will receive a package of - £55-65k per annum depending on experience - Access to the company bonus scheme which is very attractive - Pension scheme - 3% contribution
