Overview
We are seeking Care Assistant & Companions who live in the Bromley, Orpington, West Wickham, Hayes, Shortlands, Beckenham, Keston, Chislehurst, Bickley, Farnborough and surrounding areas of the London Borough of Bromley. This is a part-time job and you will need to be a car driver with access to your own car. What would I be doing? By becoming a Care Assistant & Companion you will find that every day is different, you will be helping an older person in your local community not only combat loneliness and isolation but also help them stay safe and independent during these uncertain time, especially as the government is now recommending that older adult over the age of 70 stay indoors to help avoid contacting the COVID 19 virus. Everyone’s needs differ, some of our clients are more independent than others, you will be matched to an older adult in your local area needing companionship and support. This could vary from helping them to get up, washed/showered, dressed, have breakfast to preparing a meal or taking them out for the day. To be a fantastic companion, are you: Caring, compassionate and patient? Do you have a great personality and would make a fantastic befriender? A positive person who feels we should we working together in the community and not letting the Coronavirus win? Able to commit to regular hours Looking for a part-time job where you can make a difference? Available for either early mornings, lunchtimes, evenings and alternate weekends? This exceptional service is different to any other care organisation in the area, providing a minimum of 1-hour home visits to a purely private client base, but the focus being on companionship. The Director held a close relationship with their grandmother, who was lucky enough to enjoy the most wonderful care which enabled her to live happily, safely and independently at home until she sadly died a couple of years ago. Following her grandmothers positive experience she has become passionate about providing the highest quality care to people, like her grandmother, to enable older people to remain independent and living in their own homes and to continue to enjoy their interests and hobbies and to get the most out of their lives for as long as possible.
