Job Advert We are Hiring Due to continued growth we are recruiting for an Engineering Project Manager to join our team based in Brackley. The Engineering Project Manage r will work in close collaboration with the site Operational and Engineering teams, developing and improving factory performance with a clear focus on design, installation and maintenance. Working with a multi-disciplined team, this role will provide effective management of projects and activities whilst maintaining robust project management principles to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. We are a diverse, geographically spread UK business that runs 24/7 so we are looking for someone who can think outside of the box to ensure the Engineering project team deliver. Purpose of the role Reporting to the Senior Engineering Project Manager you will provide an effective guiding steer on projects, managing from conception to delivery whilst maintaining an effective collaboration with site operations and the wider Engineering team. Your key responsibilities will include: Manage projects ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and compliance in line with the ‘Avara Way’ for managing projects. Identify the tasks required for projects providing detailed scopes, forecasted costs, timescales and resource requirements. Provide cost and time estimates for defined project tasks to allow Capital budgets and Capital Expenditure (Capex) requests to be proposed for approval. Design layouts and integrating components to integrate machinery into existing or new factory processes. Provide Engineering and technical support and advice as required to support operational and project objectives. Effective communication and influencing of key stakeholders in support of projects. Effective control and management of Contractors employed on Site ensuring we meet the requirements of CDM regulations and these are documented where required. Assess project tasks for potential impact on Company procedures (including Safety, Health, Environmental and Fire) and to identify (with relevant support) suitable actions to minimise risk. Organise with Site Engineering teams, activities for equipment commissioning and handover; this includes training, spares, migration of data onto Technical Libraries, Service Sheets and PMS. Create and maintain installation standard documents and designs to ensure contractors understand site requirements and expectations. What we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or HNC certification or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering Experience in managing projects (capital and continuous improvement) AutoCAD experience Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multi-task and thrive in a timeline-driven environment Strong interpersonal communication skills CEng or IEng Registered desirable NEBOSH or IOSH desirable 3D CAD experience desirable A little about us: We are a leading supplier of chicken, turkey and duck products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors.
