Overview
Active Sen are looking for a support worker. This role will be working with a boy who is aged 6 and has autism and is non verbal. As he is non - verbal he uses PECS and Makaton to communicate. This is one of the top sen supporting groups for children with sen. Working with this child is very rewarding and helps people dive deeper into their understanding of sen. The family are looking for someone who can help with the child and be able to supervise him and help him with his work and help him with his work. What is the role of a support worker: Support the child in his work Always supervise the child Create a fun and safe environment atmosphere for the child Help them with their day to day needs Teach them life skills they will carry with them What will you need for this role: A DBS that is online Previous experience working with sen Experience as a support worker Experience in a classroom based setting Any other sen certificate will advantage This role will be full time working 14 hours per week Active Recruitment SEN LTD is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
