Overview

This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly company based in a village just north of Cambridge, with excellent transport links including rail. You will work in a busy R&D Hardware department, working on a variety of infrared thermal imaging related projects. If you are looking for a challenge and are interested in working with a variety of technologies and want to immerse yourself in technology areas that may be outside of your previous experience then this may be the right opportunity for you. Here's a list of what you'll typically doing and some of the technologies you'll be working on: Project development, both as a lead technical role and as project manager. Working in a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, software and production engineers Feasibility studies for new products Circuit design PCB layout System integration type projects Maintenance of existing product designs EMC and Low Voltage product approvals Production support General radiometric (infrared) system design Digital design including FPGAs/CPLD' (language VHDL or Verilog) DSP and microprocessors Precision and video rate analogue design Optoelectronics Small motor control Power supply design SoC solutions What we're looking for from you: Excellent A' level grades (A or B) plus a degree in Electronics or Physics (or the equivalent) Able to demonstrate a sound understanding of the technologies involved in your current experience.
