Job Summary Job Title: Support Worker Location: 16 Hawthorn Crescent – Worthing, BN14 9LU. Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £8.30 per hour Information: This role is shift work. Supporting someone isn’t just personal care; it’s so much more. 16 Hawthorn Crescent is a specially adapted bungalow in Worthing for males aged 18 with moderate to severe learning disabilities, physical disabilities and complex health needs. Staff support individuals by creating person centred plans that are tailored towards individual needs and promote independence. People are supported to take part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives as well as become active members of the community. 16 Hawthorn Crescent is a fully adapted bungalow with four bedrooms. There is also a communal living room, dining room, kitchen and a large garden. The service is located in Worthing within easy reach of the town centre, the sea front and a wide range of local community facilities including shops, pubs, restaurants, libraries and colleges. The nearby mainline stations and local bus services provide good links to London and the surrounding coastal areas. What experience do you need? You don’t need to have experience to be a good Support Worker. If you are caring, kind and want to work in a job that is genuinely rewarding, this is for you. You’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable making decisions. A basic level of English and Math is also required.
