Overview

I am working with a leading UK banking client seeking a Lead QA Engineer to join their Edinburgh based team on a permanent basis. As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will be supporting the Commercial Risk business. You will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver and maintain the highest quality customer driven software and will define and implement our Automation First approach whilst continually challenging, motivating, mentoring and supporting your quality engineering team. You will demonstrate and develop deep domain knowledge and technical expertise and will have a passion for coaching and developing your team. You'll collaborate with senior colleagues to support the technical direction of the Quality Engineering discipline, whilst working alongside our Software Engineers, SCRUM Masters, Product Owners, Designers, Analysts, Testers and Architects as part of co-located teams. You'll also be working with colleagues within our partner teams, onshore and offshore. The role: You'll work with senior colleagues across the engineering discipline to define and embed our automation strategy. You'll lead the definition of test process, drive the design and delivery of an automation Test framework around Continuous Integration using Behaviour Driven Development methods. You'll coach & mentor our growing, dedicated team, providing the leadership direction that will drive quality software solutions into production. What we need from you: You will have hands on experience as a Test Lead or similar, with experience leading both on and off shore teams. Experience of Automation testing You'll understand how Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment operate in the Digital ecosystem, so you'll be proficient in JavaScript and open source testing toolset such as Selenium, SonarQube, Unified Functional Testing or similar.
