Overview
We are currently seeking Support Workers for supported living services and Residential homes for adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and challenging behaviours within the Gloucestershire area. You will have the opportunity to work in beautiful, therapeutic and rural locations, promoting independence and supporting with local activities, including meals out, shopping and trips to the cinema. The ideal Support Worker would have experience in: - Paid experience working within the care sector - Provide full personal care and Moving and Handling - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Clear enhanced DBS - Support with domestic duties and food preparation - Person centred care - Supporting resident on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis - Ability to follow verbal and written instruction Daily duties of Support Worker will include: - Provide/ encourage full personal care and Moving and Handling - Participate in activities social and educational - Domestic duties - Building and maintaining positive relationships - Following care plans - Participating with team meeting Additional requirements: - Driver and access to a vehicle would be an advantage but not essential In return we will offer: - Rates of pay - £9.00 - £10.00 per hour (Sleep ins are paid at £8.21 per hour) - Weekly pay - Hourly accrued - holiday pay, calculated separate from the above pay rates - Pension scheme - Free mandatory training - 24/7 on call team - Professional weekly rota management - Recommend a Friend incentive - Free uniform - EAP – Health Assured confidential helpline Hours: - Variety of shift patterns, early, mid and afternoon shifts. - Waking nights - Sleep Ins - Hours can be flexible, you can also pick up as many as you like, it’s your choice If this is the opportunity for you, contact The Cheltenham team now on; 01242 505415 or apply online This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89728685
