Overview

The Company: A Product Development Technologist is required to join an established creative clothing consultancy. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to join a friendly team. The Role: Work independently but closely with Head of Design and Creative Director to develop new products for bespoke client design briefs or for Calm Collection on new or existing garments. Manage timely sample analysis for fit and suitability with design/client team. Negotiate and check prices, quantities and lead times with global factories and suppliers Support production to investigate any product faults and identify issues to add to Product and Factory Guidelines Carry out testing on fabrics and garments and final quality control criteria before passing to production. Introduce and present new products internally to client team, ensuring they are kept up to date. Ensure the critical path and project deadlines are adhered to. Liaise with the design team to produce clear product specifications from illustrations. Manage factory sample production to size sets, including sourcing fabrics/trims/packaging and advising on garment construction. Travel to factories as required Skills Required: At least 3 years experience in a similar role Good working knowledge of critical path, fit management and garment construction . Must possess strong project management skills Be a people person with excellent interpersonal skills/strong time management skills Able to develop strong relationships with colleagues and external suppliers Intermediate to advanced illustrator drawing skills (adobe suite) Intermediate to advanced word processing \ spreadsheet skills Mac proficient Familiar with Google Drive Adobe Design Suite \ beneficial but training will be given Languages \ beneficial but not essential Have an appreciation/understanding of the luxury market This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89710705
