This sounds great, tell me more Standard Objectives: Build positive relationships with all people living and working in the Home. Foster and create opportunities to give and receive support/help. Help to create a human habitat that creates positive spontaneous interactions and links to the wider community. Work with Elders and staff to prevent/alleviate boredom. Whilst in the company of Elders instigate and hold meaningful discussions. Be committed to building and creating an Elder-centred community. Objectives of the job: To lead a team of nursing and care staff. To ensure that personal, social and health care needs of Elders, respecting the dignity of the individual and promoting independence. To ensure that care is delivered consistently and is of a high quality standard. Take responsibility for clinical governance and quality in all aspects of care within your designated area of work. General: Adhere to all appropriate NMC guidelines/regulations. Assist in the arrangements for fundraising. Ensure the security of the Home is maintained at all times. Adhere to all Company policies and procedures within the defined timescales. Knowledge/Qualifications: RGN / RMN qualification. Proven experience of working in a nursing care setting with Elders. Ability to show empathy, understanding and experience of the needs of Elders. Well developed time management skills with the ability to work under pressure. Ability to make balanced, clear and timely decisions. Takes a pro-active approach to consulting and involving others in decision making process as appropriate. IT skills - Microsoft Office. Qualified First Aider. Manual Handling training. Promotion of and commitment to equal opportunities. Promotion of and commitment to health and safety practices.
