Senior Care Assistant - Days £9.98 per hour plus benefits, paid breaks & DBS 35 hrs pw - planned rotas Burcot Grange is a stunning residential care home located in Burcot, Bromsgrove. We are looking for a Senior Day Carer to join our Team We are looking for experienced NVQ 3 qualified Carers who are used to overseeing and mentoring carers. You will provide individual care as required by each resident in order to meet their personal needs whilst ensuring that each person's dignity and individuality is upheld and their independence, choice and control is promoted at all times. To create a happy and caring atmosphere; which involves providing a wide range of general caring services and duties within the limits of personal experience and knowledge. To help in the care of the resident's physical environment and the general day to day activities within the home. Main Responsibilities Care: You will work with all types of residents receiving direct care. Your duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the needs of the residents but can include: Ensuring the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting/assisting residents, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living, according to their individual needs. When required the Senior Care Assistant will support individual performance management plans for identified staff. Following competency-based training and under the supervision of the residential manager you will ensure the residents medication is: -Stored correctly - Administered in line with company policy and professional guidelines - Manage and coordinate the supply of medication ensuring residents are not 'out of stock' - Ensure audits are completed - Manage any discrepancies in line with Cinnamon's medicine administration policy Paying particular attention to assisting residents who have limited mobility, or physical difficulties, making the best use of aids provided. Assisting in the delivery of care for residents who are dying or who have a progressive illness. Keeping your line manager fully informed of the events. Promote the rights, dignity, privacy, respect, & choice to every resident when providing care. Support & encourage residents to maintain their independence with daily living. Observing care planning needs for residents and completing daily records as instructed and in line with the Company's policies and procedures. Person Specification Physically and medically able to carry out duties and responsibilities with or without assistive aids. NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification. Supervisory experience. Medication Administration experience & relevant qualification. Team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable. Ability to organise and prioritise workload and work under pressure. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
