NPD Technologist Job ref: 62621 | £22,000 | South West The company This well established, leading food manufacturer which supplies into the major multiples, is currently seeking an NPD Technologist to work with their busy and talented team. The company boasts a product range which is varied with an array of bestselling famous brands within their international business. The job The company has experienced rapid growth, doubling the size of the business in the last several years with continued growth aspirations for the coming years – this is therefore a fantastic time to join the team. Reporting to the Innovation Manager, this role supports the development and optimisation of the company’s product range in line with the strategy defined for the business. You will assist with the new products launch projects from the initial concept to launch in the factory, ensure adherence to critical paths for each project, assist with packaging development, be a part of factory trials identifying areas for improvement and assist factory to resolve any problems arising from product recipe and process. Your experience You will ideally be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or nutrition discipline and possess some food product development experience (possibly from a university placement or post-grad food industry job), preferably working with chilled or dairy products. You will be passionate about food innovation, have a hands-on approach and be looking to join a business where you can grow your food NPD career. A driving licence is also required due to site location. More details The NPD Technologist role is based in the South West region and is paying £22,000 plus benefits including company contributory pension, optical care, wellbeing tests, childcare vouchers, 25 days holiday bank holidays and more. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm, however flexibility will be required to accommodate factory trials and company needs.
