Graduate Deployent Engineers

We’re looking for enthusiastic and passionate individuals to join our growing team of Deployment Engineers. The successful candidates will, with appropriate supervision complete technical project activities including the design and delivery of the Sopra Banking solutions. You will be a fast learner and contributing to the creation of a technology landscape that will enable teams to build, deploy and maintain solutions at pace and with maximum stakeholder engagement. On-boarded as a group and rotated through several technical teams to develop a broad range of software engineering skills focused on infrastructure and application deployment. Sopra Banking operate a structured career framework with learning mentors/career coaches. The roles are based in our offices in Sheffield or Dunstable with some travel to client locations around the UK. Over your first two years at Sopra Banking you will learn these skills; · Plan and implement software changes, upgrades and new system builds · Automation and deployment approaches · Design, develop and implement software-defined infrastructure · Implementing and maintaining Operating Systems, databases, Web/App Servers, API Gateways, hosting platforms and networks · Designing and implementing for performance, stability and security in a systems landscape that includes cloud and on-premise DC · Application virtualisation (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes) and O/S virtualisation (e.g. VMWare) · Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with application support teams resolve · Business Continuity, backup and restore processes · Implementing system security measures such as TLS Candidate Profile · You must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills · Ability to gather requirements complete analysis and design technical solutions · Ability to communicate across multi-teams to support a single end-to-end delivery goal and co-ordinate between technology teams Experience in the following would be beneficial: · Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent qualification · Programming in Shell, PERL, Python, Java or SQL · Unix, Linux or Windows systems administration By joining the Sopra Banking Software team you will enjoy our excellent rewards and benefits schemes including a 6% pension contribution, employee share scheme (buy one get one free), an option to buy or sell holiday days,medical insurance, critical illness cover, a health cash plan, and an openness to discussing flexible working arrangements, plus many more excellent benefits.
