Control Software Engineer – Electric Vehicle Products – Birmingham - £ Competitive Excellent benefits A Control Software Engineer is required for a brand new automotive technology innovation centre, positioning itself at the forefront of electric and hybrid vehicle technology development. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver the advanced engineering of EV and Hybrid vehicle products, for a wide range of global customers. As Control Software Engineer you will be responsible for development of motor and power converter control strategies and generation of associated software. As Control Software Engineer you will be required to Develop and optimise motor control, PWM and DCDC control algorithms. Develop and optimise motor drive system calibration and diagnosis methods, ensure successful system integration and specify test and validation plans. Write C code or using Simulink code generation to generate production code Evaluate and implement functional safety and ASIL solutions, implementation of ISO26262 Generate reports and robust documentation. As Control Software Engineer – you will have Minimum of Bachelors degree in electronics/ electronics related discipline Automotive embedded software development experience in a powertrain, motor control and EV/Hybrid vehicle development environment. Low level driver development for microprocessors in Automotive ECUs Experience with safety critical code standard like MISRA C Excellent embedded C programming and assembly programming techniques.
