Overview
A temporary Electrical Engineer role located in Blackburn with chance to go permanent. Your new company They are a large global company that provide fabrication and other engineering practices for a range of clients on-shore and off-shore. They fulfil a range of projects and use their technology and innovation to improve their profession and complete clients requests to a high quality standard. Your new role You will be providing maintenance for a range of systems, mainly electrical and you will be carrying out electrical inspection and PLC fault finding. There will also be some involvement in mechanical aspects and this will involve your typical PPM and reactive maintenance. Furthermore, you will be working away from home for short periods during your time within this role to aid in a range of projects. You will be working under a maintenance supervisor during your time in this role. What you'll need to succeed To succeed in this role you need to be a time served electrical or mechanical engineer with a valid 18th edition IEE regulation certification. Due to the nature of work you will also need knowledge of electrical inspection and testing / Pat testing. Experience with PLC's is also required e.g. Siemens and Allen Bradley. Mechanical and pneumatic knowledge and skills would also vastly help in succeeding in this role. You must also be willing to work away from home and be a self-motivated team player that can also work on their own. What you'll get in return In return you will receive a competitive hourly rate DOE and you will accumulate annual leave for each hour you work. You could also potentially become a permanent member of staff, but this isn't guaranteed.
