Overview

Principal Piping Engineer £60,000 - £70,000 Stockton – on – Tess My client is a Multi- Disciplinary Engineering consultancy, they are looking for a Principal Piping Engineer. They work on large oil and gas, petrochemical and nuclear projects for local and global clients. The Principal Piping Engineer must have experience managing office design teams. The ideal candidate will be someone with a piping design background who has worked their way up to leadership. The Principal Piping Engineer will be responsible for reviewing piping specifications, drawings and calculations. The Principal Piping Engineer will need to have experience of stress analysis as they will be checking the calculations and providing technical sign off on documents produced. Job Summary of the Principal Piping Engineer Checking and approving piping specifications, drawings and calculations Advising and guiding Engineers, Designers and Draughtspersons Preparing engineering specifications and other documents required Liaising with clients on engineering contracts and design services Liaison with the Manager of Engineering about workload and resource planning Responsibilities of the Principal Piping Engineer Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership B(Eng.) in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering subject Minimum 5 years piping design experience Experience of pipe stress analysis Experience using PDMS to model pipework and equipment Experience of team management, work distribution & resource planning Experience managing large scale projects in relevant industries Experience managing multiple projects at once Knowledge of HSE legislation and regulations If you are interested in this role, please get in touch with Adele Lewis at Premier Engineering.
