Mechanical Fitter - £48,000 - Grays, Essex

Role: Mechanical Fitter Location: Grays, Essex Salary: £48,000 Benefits Premier Engineering are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to work for a key client of mine based in Essex. Salary £40,000 to £50,000 Benefits. The organisation has been in operation for over 40 years and has a turnover in excess of £100 million. They have 9 sites across the UK and employ over 500 people. They have a very well-established global client base and are one of the most recognisable companies within their area of specialism. To support the continued growth of the business and to deal with the amount of work they have now and forecasted they have the need to appoint another Mechanical Fitter on a permanent basis. In this role as a Mechanical Fitter you will be spending 70% of your time on pumps. This could be stripping them down, repairing them, maintaining them or changing seals. The pumps range from centrifugal to gear, lobe and air diaphragm. You will also be working with valves and again these could be ball, butterfly, gate and globe. There may be some work taking pipes out and doing PPM and visual checks across the site. This will be shift based and will rotate from days and nights with rest days but the average week would be 56 hours. Essential Requirements: • Time Served or Apprentice Trained • Experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar • Experience with stripping down, repairing and maintaining pumps This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to work for a global giant that are still family run and maintain this feel whilst being secure in the market they operate within.
