Town Planning, Development Management, 3 month rolling contract Your new company You will be working for a devise, North-East London Borough - who handle a range of exciting projects, from infrastructure to regeneration schemes. Your new role This Council are looking for a Principal Planning Officer, to join the Development Management team. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including: Processing complex planning applications and lead on pre-applications queries of all types with focus on major applications, Supporting Deputy Planning Managers and Planning Managers in the team on all planning aspects, Representing the Council and Re at public meetings, including but not limited to committee, hearings, inquiries and Court. Furthermore, the successful applicant will also have the opportunity to adopt managerial duties, such as supporting and training junior officers. What you'll need to succeed Degree qualified Town Planner or equivalent experience; Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will also need experience assessing and processing all types of planning applications including complex major applications - along with experience presenting planning applications to Committees, public meetings and other forums where full discussion and consideration of a development proposal.
