About the Role In this role you will work directly with technical delivery teams to drive a culture of continuous improvement in how they deliver consistently and regularly with shippable products released on a regular basis. The Scrum Master acts as the facilitator for the agile development team and supports them in organising themselves in a way that enables them to make changes quickly, in accordance with agile principles. Key Responsibilities It is the duty of the Scrum Master to use their agile delivery skills to mentor and coach the delivery teams and squad members to define and achieve sprint goals/objectives Their focus is on continuously improving the development lifecycle and ultimately, being a key support for the management teams to ensure they continue to evolve their agile delivery capability An agent of change across a number of technical delivery squads. Lead in the driving of collaboration within delivery squads to foster a culture of continuous improvement Responsible for the facilitation of all agile ceremonies - daily scrum / stand-up, sprint planning, retrospective and sprint review Coach in agile practices and ideas/concepts for continual improvement Accountable for forecasting of deliverables across delivery sprint cycles Lead in the estimation and planning of technical deliverables across sprint iterations Responsible for the correct use and application of the Scrum framework Support the building of capability within the squads by supporting and coaching through effective performance management practices Work closely with Product Owners to ensure product backlogs are in shape to deliver features into sprint backlogs About You We would like you to have skills and experience in some of the following: Previous experience within an agile delivery team or similar environments Ability to influence and challenge constructively, particularly at Head of Function level Knowledge of Scrum methodology and agile frameworks Coaching and mentoring of technical delivery teams Agile techniques - User Stories, Continuous Integration, BDD/TDD, Pairing, Automated Testing Servant leadership working with delivery squads to drive a continual improvement mentality Metrics in sprint delivery - burndown / burnup, incremental delivery, story points, cumulative flow Desirable Understand the requirements of an FCA regulated business and/ or Financial Services exposure A Degree in an IT related subject or equivalent Development and/or testing experience Qualifications Essential CSM Certification Desirable Prince2 DSDM (or agile related project management technique) PMI-ACP The Benefits The satisfaction of working for a successful and ethical business who are here to help people is a big benefit of joining us, but it is not the only one.
