Commercial Insurance Development Executive Location: Cardiff Salary: £25,000-£40,000 with good company benefits and car allowance The Company: We are working with a long standing and reputable Insurance Broker in the Cardiff area. They have a strong commercial and personal lines book of business Dealing with micro enterprises up to global corporate's, operating out of several countries worldwide and with turnovers up to c. GBP 100,000,000 across a variety of both Marine & Non-Marine sectors. They have strong ties with Lloyd’s and specialist Insurers plus a variety of exclusive deals and arrangements with London Insurers. This Broker is looking to grow and hire a Development Executive to join their close-knit commercial division. The Role: This is a unique role incorporating several elements and options for flexibility in the role, subject to the candidate’s experience. You will likely inherit a small book of business which you will look to manage and grow through referrals and cross sales. You will equally be given schemes and a referral network which will provide a consistent stream of new business leads. There are plenty of ways to generate new business within this role, but a certain self-generation element will be present, using initiative and networking skills to grow your account. This is a superb role for anyone who has new business interest within commercial insurance. This could offer a fantastic step up for an account handler or a refreshing role for a seasoned commercial account executive who is looking for a new challenge. The Required Skills: Experience in a similar commercial insurance role, from an account handler, sales or suitable background Knowledge across Personal Lines, SME to mid Corporate Insurance would be preferable An interest in Sports, Media or the Leisure industry would be preferable CII qualifications are preferable Good communication, negotiation and sales skills Referral - Want to recommend someone and earn yourself a referral fee?
