Overview

A longstanding and reputable company are looking for a Business Development Manager to generate new business and bring on new customers for them. The Business Development Manager will actively plan approaches to source new accounts, network, attend trade shows and cold call and plan pitches to sell logistic services. Day to day responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will include: Building your network of perspective and existing customers Present the service and as a result ensure the client has a sound understanding of the capabilities and the benefits Planning presentations and pitches Follow business deals through, negotiating contracts and close deals Work out cost effective solutions for different customers and continually negotiate prices Competitor research and market analysis The Business Development Manager must demonstrate extensive examples of bringing on new customers within a logistic operation. Experience within the supply chain, global distribution and freight management is highly desired.
