PERIDOT PARTNERS ,
London, Greater London
Salary: £34,000 - £37,000

Overview

The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC is on the ground in more than 40 countries, providing emergency relief, relocating refugees and rebuilding lives in the wake of disaster. Through 22 regional offices in cities across the United States and through its offices in Europe, the IRC also helps refugees to resettle and reintegrate within their host communities. Our programmes are designed to address five key outcome areas for our clients: education; health; protection; livelihoods; and empowering marginalised groups. IRC-UK’s fundraising capability has grown significantly over the past three years. Ambitious growth plans are in place to deliver increasing income from the private sector as part of an exciting global revenue generation strategy. The Principal Gifts Executive sits in the newly formed Philanthropy team, part of the UK Private Fundraising team. Currently comprising six members of staff, the Philanthropy team works alongside the Corporate Partnerships, Trusts and Foundations and Digital Fundraising teams, and is also supported by the Strategy & Planning team, including a researcher. This a pivotal role that will drive the identification, cultivation and stewardship of partnerships with multimillion pound donors, contributing to the team’s ambitious goals to raise more funds and reach even more people whose lives have been affected by conflict across the world.
