Windows Server Engineer - 3 rd Line - City of London Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading investment bank in the heart of the City for a Windows Sever Engineer to support their users and infrastructure environment on a 6 month contract basis. Our client has in excess of 150,000 employees over 50 countries worldwide. Role & Responsibilities: ·Produce and interpret server performance and security log data to provide analysis for investigations; baseline for computer performance testing and can create trend reports for management to highlight areas of focus / improvement and on-going change. ·Patching ·Vulnerability management ·Construct and deploy routine tasks through scripted automation ·Work with the problem management function under the ITIL framework to investigate potential and actual service problems and recommend solutions. ·Identify areas where improved management information can protect the delivery of service and work with others to define processes to routinely collect information and records. ·Report and escalate unforeseen or exceptional events. Essential Skills & Experience: ·Microsoft Windows Server (all versions of 2012 and 2016) ·VMWare ESX (version 6.5 and above) ·SAN Storage (ideally EMC or Hitachi) ·PowerShell scripting Desirable: ·Azure ·HCI (hyper coverage) ·Nutanix ·McAfee ENS / ePO 4.5 ·IBM Spectrum Protect ·IBM Tivoli Monitoring ·LANDesk Windows Server Engineer - 3 rd Line - City of London
