Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Ashfield District Council for a Domestic Violence & Vulnerability Officer to join our team. You will be based in Kirkby-in-Ashfield and will join us on a full time, permanent basis. In return, as our Domestic Violence & Vulnerability Officer we will offer you a competitive salary of £24,799 – £26,999 per annum, plus casual car user payment where necessary. The Domestic Violence & Vulnerability Officer rol Working within the Community Safety department you will be responsible for managing a caseload involving individuals with complex issues and multiple support needs relating to housing, homelessness, debt, health, finances, benefits, unemployment, social care and anti-social behaviour. The individuals you will be supporting and working with are likely to have had difficulty engaging with public services in the past and will benefit from your co-ordination as the single point of contact to reduce their ongoing dependency of multiple public services and restore balance in their lives. Our ideal Domestic Violence & Vulnerability Officer Dealing with a wide range of issues, the successful candidate will have a track record of being a creative and innovative problem solver and securing positive outcomes for service users. Ideally you will be experienced in working with residents that present with multiple complex issues with a background in housing, homelessness, debt, health, finances, benefits, unemployment, social care or anti-social behaviour.
