LEVC has expanded its product line-up beyond the successful TX taxi, with the TX shuttle variant and, in Q4 this year, will be launching an all new electric van, taking the successful TX combination of eCity technology, unrivalled turning circle capability and renowned durability into the commercial vehicle sector. Building on a record year in 2019 with more than 2,500 units sold, LEVC is forecasting a 50% increase in demand in 2020. In line with the company’s export strategy, LEVC will more than double its market presence, with plans to be operating in 20 countries by the end of the year. In order to meet the company’s 2020 growth strategy, over 100 new jobs will be created at its headquarters in Ansty, near Coventry. MECHOTRONICS ENGINEER Department – Operations – Maintenance & Facilities Reporting to – Maintenance Manager Location – Ansty Business Park, Coventry Role responsibilities Support manufacturing with all responsive breakdown remediation, to ensure the continued operation of the facility Day to day up-keep and repair of various electrical and mechanical equipment and systems Carry out PPM schedules on all plant and equipment Review and modify PPM’s as necessary to ensure full effectiveness Providing a full support service to Manufacturing Engineering Dept with New Equipment Procurement and installations projects Working closely with contractors to ensure all projects are carried out in compliance with all HSE requirements and legislative governance To support and actively encourage the continuous development and improvement of all manufacturing processes and systems Providing technical support to Man-Eng Dept and Operations, to ensure continuous improvement activities are successful Carry out diagnostic inspections and fault finding investigations on various automated systems, inc ; Robot cells inclusive of dosing equipment Vision systems AGV’s EMS systems Conveyor systems Robot modifications and programming to improve performance and or efficiencies of processes The person - essential Experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment High level of experience working on automated systems Previous use of Siemens S7; however, experience of similar software would also be considered Robot operation and programming The person – Desirable Previous experience with PLC programming, control systems design or robotic engineering Experience of vehicle panel and adhesive joining techniques Strong written and verbal communication Experience of manufacturing principles; Kaizen Continuous Improvement PPS 6sigma Green Belt Qualifications Ideally qualified to HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant field of engineering How to apply Use the link below “Apply Now” to complete a brief application and upload your cv.
