SENCO, Holgate Meadows School MPS/UPS TLR 2A and SEN2 (£7,165) Full Time, Permanent Start Date: April or September 2020 Holgate Meadows School, along with our sister school, Heritage Park, is a special school for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs. We have 115 pupils in Years 3 to 11. We are going through a period of rapid school improvement which affects every aspect of the school's operation, ultimately resulting in improved outcomes for our pupils. All of our pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans and complex special needs. They present high levels of need and can be challenging. We are looking to appoint someone who is committed to the education and welfare of some of the most deprived, vulnerable and challenging children from difficult and chaotic backgrounds. The successful candidate will need to be calm, purposeful and resilient. In return you will have the satisfaction of making a real difference to the lives and prospects of our children and their families. You will need: Qualified Teacher Status at least two years' teaching experience good knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice National Award for SEN Coordination, or a commitment to completing it within two years understanding of "quality first" teaching and of effective intervention strategies the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment good skills in data analysis, record keeping. communication and leadership.
