Overview

We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to manage our Fostering Team. The manager will oversee the recruitment, training and supervision of a sufficient number of foster carers to meet the placement needs of looked after children within Wrexham. The Fostering Team aims to identify the most suitable Foster Parents for each child, providing support and guidance to meet the needs of children and Foster Parents as a family. To be the right person for this role, you will have previous experience in a management role, excellent communication skills together with proven experience of working with children and / or vulnerable people and supporting families. You will be expected to work within statutory guidelines, policies and standards such the Children Act 1989 and 2004 and the Social Services and Well -being Act 2014.
